There are two types of people in this world. Those who like to spend their holidays on the beach with a good book and a cocktail with as little movement as possible. Surely, there are also those who like active holidays, but there is a strong possibility that they are the smaller group. Most people just enjoy their hard-earned rest and prefer to avoid getting more tired during their vacation time. They would rather choose a spa weekend than a Soca river canyoning adventure. They would skip the hydrospeed Bovec and enjoy in some place that has comfortable deckchairs and an available masseuse. Although those do seem more relaxing than Soca river canyoning and hydrospeed Bovec, there are some real perks to active holidays. Maybe it is time to switch it up a bit.

Why Active Holidays Are Better

Why would you choose to go Soca river canyoning or to have a hydrospeed Bovec adventure instead of a relaxing leisurely vacation on the seaside? Well, first of all, your health. If you spend two weeks sleeping and eating, you will suffer the consequences for the rest of the year and you will probably try to fight off the weight gained for several months. If you are doing a lot of physical activity on your holidays, that problem will disappear. Furthermore, only relaxing seems fun in theory but gets quite boring if done for more than a day or two. Chances are you will enjoy active vacation more, simply because they will be way less monotonous. Active holidays will also make new memories and cause you to have new experiences that you will never forget. Try to live your life to the fullest and do not limit yourself to a lazy trip to the beach – try active holidays instead, you might end up loving it.
